He was predeceased by: his parents, James Vadis and Lillie Elizabeth Sutton Brown; his daughter Renee Brown Neese; and his siblings, Levon, Larry, Boyd, Curtis, Donald Brown and Bernice Woodlief.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Simpson Brown; his children, Maria Brown (Eric), James Brown (Deborah) and Karen Ward (Carlton); his grandchildren, Darrell Pegg (Stacey), Stephanie Pegg, Katie Pegg, Kimberly Sigworth, Dalton Brown, Aaron Brown, Samantha Ward and Heather Wagoner (Caleb); his stepgrandchildren, Kim Dawkins (Ken) and Craig Hodge; his great grandchildren, Austin Davis, Skylar Davis, Gabriel Pegg, Autumn Thomas, Stephan Thomas and Kaitlyn Thomas; and his brother David Brown. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and other extended family.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:45 PM at the Lowe Funeral Home Chapel (2205 S Church St, Burlington, NC 27215). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Alamance Memorial Park (4039 S Church St, Burlington, NC 27215).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Faith Christian Church at 1401 Bethel Methodist Church Rd, Burlington, NC 27217.
