He is survived by: his wife Bertha Graves Pinnix; his daughter Sylvia Pinnix; his granddaughter Mechell Smith; his sisters, Virtine Johnson and Lillie Pinnix; his siblings-in-law, Daphney Pinnix, Ida Mae Graves, Lottie Thomas, Elmo Johnson, Benny Harrison and Willie Blackwell; his children, Patricia Mitchell (Jayfus) of Reidsville, Jeffrey Pinnix (Vernell) of Reidsville, Kameeleon "Puddin" Smith (Marvin) of Reidsville and Monroe Pinnix (Dorothy) of Windsor, Conn.; his nephew Elmer "Lamonte" Pinnix (Barbara) of Elon; his cousin Rev. Thomas "Tommy" Williamson Sr. (Pauline) of Reidsville; his daughter Gwen Lindsay of Greensboro; his brother Roy Pinnix of Gibsonville; and his sister-in-law Ivadell Graves. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, other relatives and friends.
