She was predeceased by: her husband Bobby Thompson; her daughter Beverly Christine Thompson Pope; her parents, Fannie Ross Gerringer Crouse and Lyman David Gerringer; and her siblings, Ethel Gerringer Cable, Eva Gerringer Wyrick, Marvin Gerringer, Boyd Gerringer, Everett Gerringer and L. D. Gerringer.
She is survived by: her grandson Sean Pope (Krista); her great grandchildren, Madelyn, Lily (Conner Dove) and Miles Pope of Graham; and her son-in-law Howard Pope of Durham. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
