She was predeceased by: her parents, John Andrew and Mamie Berry Wright; her husband John Harold Sutton, Sr.; and her siblings, William, David Wright, Irene Lawless and Mary Combs.
She is survived by: her children, John Harold Sutton, Jr. (Martha) of Greensboro, Kathey Howell of Clayton, Thomas Andrew Sutton (Michele) of Elon and Teresa Ortega of Elon; and her grandchildren, Denny Jones, Kathryn Parker, Stephanie Palma, Leslie Parsons, Thomas Sutton, Jr., Chris Sutton, Stephen Sutton, Jeanette Swacker, Lisa Swacker, Tessa Price and James Price. She is also survived by 21 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
