He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Franklin Loftis and Fannie Alice Hamlett Loftis; his siblings, Robert "Gene" Loftis, Elaine Wade, Christine Cochran and Peggy Loftis; his son-in-law Allen Maness; and his siblings-in-law, Frances "Nap" Loftis, Mary Loftis, Gail Loftis, Billy West, Bob Irby, Donald Lunsford and Johnny Cochran.
He is survived by: his wife Myra Ann McPherson Loftis; his children, Stephanie L. Maness and John Loftis (April); his grandchildren, Tyler Loftis (Sarah), Makayla Maness Scott (Colby), Aaron Hicks, Ashlyn Grace Loftis and Danielle Rayne Loftis; his great grandchild Brantley Cole Loftis (Colton Allen Scott); his siblings, Ralph Loftis, Roger Loftis, James Loftis (Sandra), Irene West, Pearlie Mae Irby and Hope Lunsford; and his brother-in-law Banks Wade. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
