It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mildred Horton of Elon, North Carolina, who passed away on July 24, 2022, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband William "Bill" Elijah Horton; her parents, Ewart Turner Manning and Ethel Boyette Manning; and her brother Earl Manning. She is survived by: her daughters, Vicki Scanlon (Kevin) of Little Rock, AR, Kimberly Poston (Ira) of Elon, Teri Flinchum (Mitchell) of Burlington, Kara Key (Tom) of Raleigh and Donna Eskridge (Richard) of Kernersville; and her sisters, Lou Stanley, Sonja Stephenson and Linda Richardson (Clif). She is also survived by 13 grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren.
