She was predeceased by: her parent Clark Elder; and her spouse Claude D. Brooks Jr.. She is survived by: her parent Annie Garner Elder; her children, Sandra Chisholm (Doug), Robbie Brooks (Vonnie), Danny Brooks (Debbie), Brian Brooks (Melissa) and Claude D. Brooks III; and her siblings, Luna Wall, Edna Fields, Robert Elder and Herbert Elder. She is also survived by grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren, and many loving nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gospel Baptist Church at 6359 Osceola Ossipee Rd.
