He was loved and cherished by many people including: his father James Grant Cooper; his stepmother Judy Edmonds Cooper of Elon; his wife Carolyn Brady Cooper; his sons, Johnathan Martin (Amanda) of Sun Prairie, James "Gunner" Cooper (Haley) and Matthew G. Cooper; and his brothers, Joel Chambers (Becky) of Buchanan, Tim Chambers (Pam) of Salem and Shannon Smith of Burlington. He was also cherished by numerous nieces and nephews.
