He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Banner Hensley and Lucy Jarrett Hensley; his daughter Carolyn Massey Jordan; and his siblings, J. B. Hensley, Opal Lane, Tunney Canady, Susie Cox and Charles "Zip" Hensley.
He is survived by: his wife Gladys Gertrude Crumpton Hensley; his son H. Dwight Hensley (Debbie); his grandson Harold; his great grandchildren, Ruth Roach, Braxton Uhl, Lily Uhl, Dayne Uhl, Anna Claire Ingle, Jackson Ingle and Janie Ingle; and his siblings, Polly Cox, Bobby Hensley (Helen) and David Hensley (Glenna).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lighthouse Bible Church, 1013 W. Webb Ave., Burlington, NC 27217.
