He was predeceased by: his spouse Betty Somers McIntyre; and his siblings, Clarence, Ben, Woodrow McIntyre, Zelma Crumpton, Vernie Boone, Lucille Welch and Rachel Jones.
He is survived by: his sons, Edsel Howard McIntyre, Jr. (Linda McKinney McIntyre) of Roxboro and Kenneth Gregg McIntyre (Carolyn Corter McIntyre) of Ossipee; his grandchildren, Brian McIntyre (Karla) of Roxboro and Susan McIntyre of Urbana, IL; his stepgrandchildren, Amy Wood (Keith), Tommy Faucette (Rhonda) and Daniel Lineberry; and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Elijah, Camryn, Evan Tuck, Marcus, Nick, Michael Kosmos, Brandon and Brittanie Faucette. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.
