We are sad to announce that on July 21, 2023, at the age of 92, Donald Fulton Mears of Elon, North Carolina, born in Parksley, Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe R. Mears and Minnie Lewis Mears; his wife Mary Elizabeth Berry Mears; and his siblings, Philbert Mears, Edward Mears, Gordon Mears, Richard Mears and Jacqueline Mears Pfeifer.
He is survived by: his children, David Mears (Janette) of Amherst, VA and Susan Mears Nance (Joel) of Raleigh, NC; his grandchildren, Jessica Mears Markey (Bobby), Jonathan Mears, Jason Nance, Daniel Nance and Kelly Nance; and his great grandchild Luke Markey.
