He was predeceased by: his parents, John Wesley "J. W." McKinney and Neoma Wilson McKinney; and his brothers, Wesley McKinney and Michael McKinney. He is survived by: his children, Tina McKinney Buck (John) and Matthew Darrell McKinney (Carlie); his siblings, Ira McKinney (Hope), Carol Hagood (Clifton) and Cathy Taylor (Paul); and his sister-in-law Dot McKinney. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
