She was predeceased by: her mother Myrtle E. Miles; her husband Ivory Gordon; and her siblings, Robert L. Miles, Mary E. Bunn and Miss Caroline J. Miles.

She is survived by: her children, Llewellyn "Lee" Miles of Brooklyn, NY, Rodney D. Miles of New Port News, VA, Miss Sara L. Miles of Brooklyn, NY and Marilyn L. Wright of Brooklyn, NY; her brother Junior B. Miles (Virginia) of Graham, NC; her uncle Shirley Miles of Burlington, NC; and her pet Sissy. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren.
