She was predeceased by: her parents, John William Sutton and Lydia Elizabeth Loy Sutton; her husband Leonard H. Kernodle; and her siblings, Edgar Sutton, Melvin Sutton, Boyd Sutton, Ruby Freshwater and Pauline Tatum.
She is survived by: her daughters, Donna Kernodle (Jerry Word) of Clemmons and Marie Kernodle of Lexington; her granddaughter Meghan Forrest (Tyler); and her great grandchild Luke of Lexington.
