She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas M. Starling and Lula Inez Henley Starling; her husband Horace Ray Harris; and her siblings, Harold, Julian, Charles Starling, Dorothy Denson and Alice Tharrington.
She is survived by: her children, Judieth Harris Garris of Rocky Mount, Kelvin Brian Harris (Deborah) of Pensacola, FL, Cliff Alan Harris (Elizabeth) of Colorado Spring and Richard Dean Harris of Petersburg, VA; her grandchildren, Thomas Harris, Charlie Harris, Jason Harris and Michelle Strickland; her great grandchildren, Katie, David, Adrian and Anna; her siblings, Glanda Pace, Betty Clower and James Carl Starling (Edna); and her siblings-in-law, Willie Thomas Harris, Jr. and Marian Mosley.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 6th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Sanctuary Ridgecrest Worship Center (1120 West Mount Drive, Rocky Mount, NC 27803). A celebration of life was held on Friday, December 6th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, December 6th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Cedar Grove Cemetery (215 Church St E, Elm City, NC 27822).
