She was predeceased by: her husband Joel "Mack" Thorne; her parents, Clyde Gay and Mary Gay; and her siblings, Charles "Freddie", Johnny Gay and Joann Newcomb.
She is survived by: her children, Jimmy Webb (Judy) and Audrey Brewer (Jim); her stepsons, Timothy Thorne and Tony Thorne (Pam); her grandchildren, Amber, Alexis, Madison, Erin and Tyler; and her sisters, Ora Lee Bunting, Marilyn Jarman (Ed) and Linda Poole (Rudolph). She is also survived by the neighbors dogs and cats.
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 from 12:45 PM to 1:45 PM at the Joyner's Funeral Home (4100 Raleigh Rd Pkwy W, Wilson, NC 27896). A funeral service was held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 from 2:45 PM to 3:45 PM at the Evergreen Memorial Park (2800 Nash St N, Wilson, NC 27896).
