She was predeceased by: her husband Raymond Upchurch; her parents, Romer Riley and Estelle Lamm Riley of Wilson County; her grandson Douglas Salter; and her sister Linda R. Hawley.
She is survived by: her children, Tammy Taylor of Spring Hope and David Upchurch (Angela) of Saratoga; her grandchildren, Sidney Salter and Megan Barnes; and her brother Tommie Riley (Judy) of Raleigh.
