She is survived by: her son David Allen Whitson; her grandchildren, Taylor Whitson, Allison Webb, Matthew Whitson, Terry Whitson (Linn), Dustin Whitson and Christopher Whitson; her great grandchildren, Makenzie, Hunter, Justin, Chason and Brayden; and her sisters, Sadie Moss of Asheville, Betty Muse of Asheville and Pauline Sams of Asheville. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
