He was predeceased by: his grandsons, Troy Lee Whitman and Dylan Stallings; his parents, Ida Belle Whitley Roberson and Carney Roberson, Sr.; and his brothers, Stevie Roberson and Shorty Roberson.
He is survived by: his wife Faye Roberson; his children, Karen Whitman (Melvin) of Elm City, B. J, Debbie Roberson of Elm City, Linda Stallings (Greg) of Wilson, Brenda Bryant (Mickey) of Middlesex and Allen Roberson (Candy) of Elm City; his siblings, Myrtle Creech (Donnie) of Kenly and Carney Roberson, Jr. (Sue) of Ayden; and his sister-in-law Diane Roberson of Kenly. He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
