He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. Willis and Beatrice Sawyer; and his sibling Willie Sawyer. He is survived by: his children, Brenda Conklin (David), Rodney Sawyer (Elaine) and Bryan Sawyer; his grandchildren, Ryan Martin, Emily Sawyer, Connor Sawyer, Dakota Sawyer and Logan Sawyer; and his sisters, Becky Ramsey and Deborah Kirk.
