He was predeceased by: his parents, Maynard Martin Hill and Esther Anderson Hill; and his brothers, Robert Hill and Joseph Hill. He is survived by: his wife Frances Glidewell Hill; his children, Tom Hill, Jerry Hill, Danny Hill (Sylvia) and Amy Yaklin (Chris); his siblings, Kenneth Hill (Doris), Glenda Allen (Steve), Kathleen Carter (Dwight) and Jewell Weatherly; his grandchildren, Amy Michelle, Sean, Aaron, David, Danny, Jessica, Taylor, Molly, Kelsey and Sarah; and his great grandchildren, Briar, Riley, Aemon, Wade, Walt, Lottie, Jarrett, Jackson, August, Trinity, Chase, Lexie and Kyle.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 28th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Carter Funeral Home- Ellerbe (143 Church St, Ellerbe, NC 28338). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the McLean Presbyterian Church (723 Fire Tower Rd, Ellerbe, NC 28338).
