With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Christopher Duane Oakes (Ellerbe, North Carolina), who passed away on December 4, 2018. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He is survived by: his parents, Eddie Oakes and Lucinda Taylor (Roscoe); his daughters, Samantha of Southern Pines, Destiny of Southern Pines and Megan Oakes of Southern Pines; and his grandparents, Ruby and Julian Roscoe.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family to help with expenses.
