She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl Blackmon and Maddie Frye Blackmon; her husband Melvin Cagle; and her son Willie Richard Cagle. She is survived by: her children, Angela Davis (James), Tony Lynn Cagle and Melvin Eugene Cagle; and her siblings, Betty Joe Stubbs, Hilda Jean Sellars, Carolyn Gunner, Wayne Blackmon and Michael Blackmon. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
