It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Wayne Blackwood of Ellenboro, North Carolina, born in Gaffney, South Carolina, who passed away on May 13, 2023, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Will Blackwood and Vergie Mae Blackwood; his wife Mary Alice Blackwood; and his grandson Devin McDowell. He is survived by: his children, Scott Blackwood (Kerrie) of Cliffside, Donna Hewitt (Jeff) of Cliffside and Angelia McDowell (Todd) of Rutherfordton; his brother Tom Blackwood of Hickory Grove, SC; his grandchildren, Brandi Reid, Briana Blackwood, Brannon McDowell, Grayson Hewitt and Grant Hewitt; and his great grandchildren, Haven Reid, Savannah Reid, Roman Reid and Lillie Hewitt.
