She was predeceased by: her parents, Gordon Andrew Jones and Pansy Lovelace Jones; her husband Carl Dudley Whitaker; her brothers, Clyde and Corbett Jones; her grandson Jonathan H. Whitaker; and her sisters-in-law, Annie Sue Jones, Elaine Whitaker, Pat Daves and Joyce Benfield.
She is survived by: her children, Barbara Greene (John) of Ellenboro and Alan Whitaker (Karen) of Cary, NC; her brother Glenn Jones (Georgia) of Floresville, Texas; her grandchildren, Megan Whitaker, Kristen Whitaker, Justin Whitaker, Daniel Greene (Stacy) and Melanie Lynch (Bruce); her great grandchildren, Zoe Greene, Zain Greene, Zeke Lynch, Avery Lynch, Zachary Saraga and Ethan Saraga; and her sisters-in-law, Freda Jones of Ellenboro and Gail Price of Shelby. She is also survived by four nieces and a nephew.
The family requests that social distancing be observed by all attendees.
