He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Hollars and Arthuren Smathers Hollars of Georgia; and his sister-in-law Lynn Hollars. He is survived by: his wife Brenda Hollars; his children, Ashley Griffey (Dawyer), Amanda Warren, Cassie Warren, Timothy Hollars and Nate Corbine (Miranda); and his brothers, Doug Hollars (Sherry) and Steve Hollars. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
