He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Gaston Evans and Beulah Estelle Church Evans; his wife Lorene "Rene" Evans; his children, Bobbie Evans Neal and Kim Evans; his grandchildren, Kimberly Whiteside, Dusty Whiteside and Reverend Anthony Van Dyke; his great grandchildren, Michael and Hayden Arrowood; and his brothers, Bill Church, Thurman Evans and Ralph Evans.
He is survived by: his children, Wanda Grant (Alan) of Ellenboro, Rita Whiteside (Tim) of Ellenboro, Penny Floyd (Jeff) of Spartanburg, SC, Jimmy Evans (Lacy) of Ellenboro and Tim Evans (Donna) of Ellenboro; and his brother Charles Evans (Dawn) of Ellenboro. He is also survived by nineteen grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
