She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilburn Gunter and Lenora "Peggy" Powell; her husband Charles Bridges; her stepfather James Powell; and her siblings, Tony Gunter, Arnold Goforth and Susie Melton.
She is survived by: her children, Ivan Bridges (Brenda) of Ellenboro, Betty Bridges (Tim) of Forest City and Derek Bridges of Ellenboro; her nephew Michael Flynn (Tina) of Ellenboro; her sister Barbara Austin (Mel) of Patterson, NC; her grandchildren, Briana Barnes, Emily Barnes, Tiffany Tirella (Matt), Caleb Barnes, Devin England and Kyleigh Green; and her great grandchild Leo Tirella.
