He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Cecil Williams and Katherine Parker Williams; his daughter Cheryl Williams; his sister Betty Morgan; his wife Barbara; his granddaughter Jessica Hardin; his children, Carla Binicki (James) of Alabama, Frankie Gettys (Jerry) of Caroleen and Jimmy Hardin (Donna) of Cliffside; his adoptive son Jerry Cogdell of Forest City; his siblings, George Williams (Marcell) of Shiloh, John Williams of Sharon, NC, James Williams (Frances) of Columbus and Jane Blanton (Roger) of Sunny View, NC.; his grandsons, Jason M. Hardin and John E. Hardin (Kristin Freeman); and his great grandchildren, Lucas I. Hardin, Maliya F. Hardin, Jason C. Hardin, Makynzie L. Shires, Zachary G. Shires, Madison B. Hardin and Kathryn E. Hardin. He was also cherished by numerous nieces and nephews.
