She was predeceased by: her mother Hester Canipe Parker; her husband Claude McKinney; and her brothers, Paul Parker, Gene Parker and Doyle Parker.
She is survived by: her sons, Scott McKinney (Sarah) of Ellenboro and Greg McKinney of Ellenboro; her grandchildren, Alexandra McKinney, Jordan Hawkins, Matthew Hawkins (Isabel) and Nathan Hawkins (Kelli Carver); and her great grandchild Oliver Carver. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM at the Drury Dobbins Baptist Church (3603 Dobbins Church Rd, Shelby, NC 28150). A funeral service was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 at 3:30 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 at 4:30 PM at the Bethel Baptist Church (479 Main St, Ellenboro, NC 28040).
