She was predeceased by: her father William Luther Helton; her grandmother Jane Hamrick Helton; and her siblings, Joyce Helton, Helen Helton and Dan Helton.
She is survived by: her brother Claude Helton of Mt. Airy, NC. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
The lying in state was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the Padgett and King Chapel (227 E Main St, Forest City, NC 28043).
