He is survived by: his parent Bessie Davis Burgess; his spouse Diane Burgess; his children, Denise Burgess Waters, Joey Burgess and Jeffery Burgess; his sister Joann Jenkins; his grandchildren, Scott Burgess, Steven Womick, Brandon Womick, Tracey Waters Burton (Tim), Lyndsay Burgess and Jordan Ledford; and his great grandchildren, Tray Jones of Brandon Womick and Winstyn Womick.
