He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Hoyt Toney and Shirley Babington Toney; and his sister Sherry Toney DeLane. He is survived by: his sister Lundy Toney Wright (Wilbur) of Ellenboro; and his nephew Stephen Sorrow, Jr. (Dixie) of Boone. He is also survived by three cats.
