He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, William Grady Martin, Sr. and Ellen Amelia Aiken Martin; his wife Diane Martin; his children, Jason Ross Martin (Crystal) of Elkin, Brian Samuel Martin (Angela) of Oak Ridge, NC, William Todd Martin (Dannie Lynn Smith) of State Road and Heather Lynn Martin (Chris Johnson) of Sandy Ridge, NC; his siblings, Larry Martin (Peggy) of Greensboro, Fred Miller (Margaret) of Phenix City, AL., Mary Jane Carter (Mark) of Asheboro, Janice Robinette (David) of Pleasant Garden, NC and Sandy Newman of Greensboro; his grandchildren, Jordan James (Kevin), Lindsay Norman, Justin Faw, Ethan Martin, Gabrielle Martin, Emma Grace Martin, Ella Kate Martin and Lydia Shellum; and his great grandchildren, Colton Grady Martin, Riker James, Rosslyn James, Peyton Norman and Charlotte Norman.
