He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Fletcher and Lucy Fletcher; his significant other Betty Friday; and his brothers, James Sydney and David Lee Fletcher.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Ellen Harris Fletcher; his children, William "Bill" Charles Fletcher (Jinny) of East Bend, NC, Gregory "Greg" Clark Fletcher (Debra) of Elkin, NC and Elizabeth "Betsy" White (Walter) of Dobson, NC; his sister Margaret Ann Kleber (John) of Rockford; his grandchildren, Eva Melissa Tomko (Ricky), Rebecca Ruth Fletcher, Ashley Abigail "Abbye" Brooks (Shaun), Jesse Mitchell Fletcher (Emily), Sarah Beth Horney (Josh), Faith Elizabeth White, Kristy Hall Cox (Tony) and Jeffrey Scott Hall (Kathryn); his great grandchildren, Meredith Tomko, Nolan Tomko, Rowen Norman, Caroline Brooks, Jacob Fletcher, Luke Fletcher, Leah Horney, Hazel Horney, Noah Cox (Katelyn), Mason Cox and Lyla Hall; and also, Brandy Bowers, Cathy Coe and Kelly Smith.
Visitation was held on Sunday, December 22nd 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Mountain Park Baptist Church (419 Mountain Park Rd, State Rd, NC 28676). A funeral service was held on Sunday, December 22nd 2024 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Sunday, December 22nd 2024 at the Mount Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery (1432 US-21, State Rd, NC 28676).
