She was predeceased by: her husband Curtis W. Smith; and her daughter Geraldine S. Burnette. She is survived by: her son-in-law David Burnette; her grandchildren, Laura Hardin (Doug Hawk), Melissa Brown (Daniel Brown) and Curtis Burnette (Cassie Burnette); and her great grandchildren, Brayton Hardin, Lauren Brown, Hayes Hardin, Isabelle Simmons, Colton Brown and Elijah Burnette.
Flowers will be accepted, or donations can be made to the charity of your choice, as Violet had deep ties to many causes, including the American Lung Association and the American Association for Cancer Research.
