She was predeceased by: her husband Fred J. Day; her parents, John Andrew and Dallie Johnson Johnston; and her daughter Judy D. Bates. She is survived by: her children, Bobby Day (Abbye) of Elkin, Rebecca D. Darnell (Reginald) of State Road and James Andrew Day (Glenda) of Clemmons; and her son-in-law Hubbard Bates of Georgia.
