It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert David Thrift of Elkin, North Carolina, who passed away on February 19, 2024, at the age of 54, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Sarah Louise Robinson Thrift and David Wesley Thrift; and his stepfather Douglas Davis Williams. He is survived by: his sister Ame Martha Elise Thrift; his nieces, Megan Elise Hodges, Victoria Lee Tilley and Natalee Sarah Payne; his nephew Dawson Gray Payne; his stepmother B. J. Thrift; and his pets, Clarence and Bruiser.
