He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin "Ed" and Edith Coffey Brookshire. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Hodges Brookshire of Elkin; and his children, Jeana Brookshire White (Daniel) of Dobson and Rev. Eddie Brookshire (Elaine) of Fayetteville. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
