She was predeceased by: her parents, James Calvin Shew and Annie Zell Burchette Shew; and her siblings, Claude Shew, Willard Shew, James Shew, Clarence Shew, Evelyn Wagoner, Mabel Roberts, Ruby Roberts and Lola Anderson.
She is survived by: her children, Mack Jones II (Cathy) of Boomer, Matt Jones (Amanda Giannini) of Hickory, Chris Jones (Kristina) of Boomer and Nikki Nichols (Greg) of Lincolnton; and her sister Nellie Sturgill of Statesville. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
