She was predeceased by: her parents, Rachel Pardue Freeman and Robert Luther Freeman; her former husband Mike Vernon Collins; her husband J. W. Smoot; her daughter Regina Hubach; her siblings, Glenn Freeman, James Freeman, Mattie Belle Carter and Louise Burton; and her grandson Tyler Allan Spicer.
She is survived by: her children, Cynthia Darnell, Vonda Trexler (Allen), Phyliss Blevins (Robert Rogers), Tracy Smith (Dennis) and Willie Smoot (Cindy); and her siblings, Radford Freeman (Alice), Tommy Freeman (Shirley) and Susie Cockerham. She is also survived by eighteen grandchildren, twenty-five great-grandchildren, and seven great-great grandchildren, and several loving nieces and nephews.
