She was predeceased by: her parents, Clyde Swanson and Edith Key Southard; and her brother Pete Southard. She is survived by: her husband Vernon Medley; her children, Marty Medley of Elkin and Paula Moore (Greg) of Elkin; her grandchildren, Shannon Skaggs, Samantha Moore and Andrew Moore; and her great grandchildren, Hunter Skaggs and Ryder Skaggs.
