She was predeceased by: her former husband James Thomas Mathis; and her siblings, Ted, Franklin Dee, Terry, Ray, Junior, Harvey, Daniel, Jerry and Betty Sue Stricklin.
She is survived by: her husband Ray Von Spicer; her children, Steven Thomas Mathis of Ronda, Noah Kevin Mathis (Jennifer) of Monroe, Greg Spicer of Wilkesboro, Randy Spicer (Debbie) of South Dakota, Dexter Spicer of Hamptonville, Phillip Spicer (Debbie) of Ronda, Angela Mathis Goodman Doub of Ronda, Abigail Watkins (Tim) of Lawsonville and Penny Casstevens (Kent) of Hamptonville; her siblings, Gary Wagoner (Barbara) of Roaring River, Linda Bauguess and Gaye Bauguess; and her grandchildren, Alana, Lydia, Jami, Ann Marie, Tera Lynn, James and Stacey. She is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren; and four stepgreat-grandchildren.
