She was predeceased by: her parents, James Claude and Lena Stanley Johnson; her husband James Shaffner; her son Doug Shaffner; her grandson James Grubb; and her siblings, Alice Johnson, Mary Davis, Vallie Prince, Almeta Craddock, Marvin Johnson, Roscoe Johnson and Malery Johnson.
She is survived by: her children, Shirley Stewart (Leonard), Angela Eagle, Becky Greene (Mike), Marie Menscer (Tim), Keith Grubb, Bobby Shaffner (Barbara) and John Shaffner; her grandchildren, Jennifer Timmermeyer, Mike Eagle III, Katherine Eagle, Rachel Beita, Shannon Maddox, Sarah Dorn, Matthew Grubb, Andrew Grubb, Annie Grubb, Laura Davis, Angela Bennett, Jason Greene, Nathan Menscer and Hannah Graham; and her sisters, Billie Spruill and Clara Mae Hillard.
