She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Floyd Thomas and Bessie Shore Groce; her husband Ralph Smoot; her great grandchild Gracie Branon; her daughters, Kathy Vanhoy (Wayne) of Jonesville and Dianne Mantero (Jack) of Elkin; her grandchildren, Melissa Branon and Matthew Smith; her great grandchildren, Tyler Branon and Shawn Branon; her great great grandchild Cali Branon; and her caregivers, Kristy Wall Hill, Janice Sparks and Linda Lyons.
