She was predeceased by: her parents, Claude W. Simmons and Pearl McCoin Simmons of Surry County, NC.; and her siblings, Garvey W. Simmons, Dewey Simmons, Lorena S. Freeman and John Simmons.
She is survived by: her son Max G. Haynes (Katherine) of Roaring Gap, NC; and her grandson John Robert Haynes (Navy). She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
