She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Lee Sparks and Vertie Faye Pardue Sparks; and her sister Peggy Eugenia Sparks Harris. She is survived by: her son Jeff Whitaker (Cheryl) of Elkin; and her grandchildren, Marena Monique Roten (Alex) of State Road, Kaylinn Cave and Frankie Francis.
