He was predeceased by: his parents, Harmon "Lee" and Kate Cockerham Wagoner; his wife Judy Hodges Wagoner; and his siblings, Gib Wagoner and Mary Lou Vannoy.
He is survived by: his stepsons, Keith Hodges of Elkin and Kevin Hodges of Elkin; his sister Carol Hayes (Hurbert) of Elkin; and his grandchildren, Bowen Wagoner and Isabella Wagoner.
