He was predeceased by: his parents, Garnett Roosevelt and Artie Baugus West; his daughter Mitzi W. Brooks; and his siblings, Russell West, Folger West, Edward West and Ruth Creel.
He is survived by: his wife Wanda Barker West; his grandchildren, Corey Brooks of Bear Creek and Brittany Brooks of Bear Creek; his son-in-law Eric C. Brooks of Bear Creek; and his sisters, Bonnie Minter of Lexington and Louise Lane (Keith) of Clovis, CA. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
