She is survived by: her children, Walter Harold Royal (Pat) of Lewsiville, Dennis Nathan Royal of Lexington, Evelyn Templeton Royal (James) of State Road, Nancy Royal Overcash (Elder Wayne Overcash) of Statesville and Kathy Royal Poindexter of Hamptonville; her siblings, James Henry Hicks Sr. (Mona) of Traphill, Geraldine Hicks Bowers of Timberlake and Mary Hicks Hutchinson (Jimmy) of Traphill; and her grandchildren, Neil Lyon, Michael Lyon, Mary Hunnicutt, Amanda Allen, Tracy Overcash, Lorie Parker, Jana Eldreth, Crystal Hughes, Shannon Brendle and Ashley Royal. She is also survived by 23 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren.
